CIN has been at the forefront of the sector in the Iberian Peninsula for two decades, and is also one of the largest manufacturers in Europe and a worldwide benchmark, with a turnover of EUR 220 million in 2015.

With over 1,400 employees, its business is focused on the three main market segments - Construction, Industrial and Protective Coatings.

With three Research and Development (R&D) centres in Portugal, Spain and France, CIN is unwaveringly committed to innovation to improve processes, anticipating market needs and ensure the success of its products, which can now be found in 40 countries in Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa.

Besides innovation, CIN has long been investing in the quality and sustainability, as shown by the certifications of itsQuality management system (ISO 9001), Environment management system (ISO 14001) and Occupational, Health and Safety system (OHSAS 18001).

Production is secured by ten plants in Portugal, Spain, France, Angola and Mozambique, amounting to a total productive area of over 122,000 square meters and an overall installed capacity of 120,000 tonnes, which is backed up by 14 distribution centres.



The industry business unit produces and sells Powder Coatings for protection and finishing of metal and Liquid Paints, for decoration and finishes for all types of materials.

With production units in Portugal, Spain and France, CIN serves more than a dozen sectors, including the automotive, furniture, glass and plastic industries.

The geographical expansion and reinforcement of the portfolio of solutions are two strategic priorities for the growth and consolidation of this business area.

The Protective Coatings business unit deals with coatings for the protection of structures used in the petrochemical and energy sector and civil and industrial construction.

Its four major lines of coating solutions - Intumescents (metal and wooden structures), Floors, Concrete and Heavy Duty (fuel tanks, gas pipelines, etc.) - have been selected for major public works and infrastructure construction in Europe, Central America and South Africa.

With production in Portugal and Spain, the Protective Coatings business unit follows a strategy based on the opening of its own operations and on the establishment of local partnerships with the aim of extending its presence to more strategic markets.
